Requirements:

• 6+ years of combined hands-on experience in database administration of MySQL and MongoDB

• Proven ability in database monitoring, troubleshooting, issue analysis and problem solving

• Strong hands on experience in performance tuning slow running queries, writing/reviewing queries, functions, Stored Procedures, Triggers, etc

• Hands-on experience on AWS Cloud Database service RDS.

• In-Depth knowledge of MySQL InnoDB engine.

• Experience on setting up database replication clusters to provide availability, resiliency/fault tolerance

• Expertise on Installation, tuning and upgrading database software to ensure system stability.

• 2+ years experience with Linux, including experience writing scripts.

• Good understanding over logical and physical modeling of databases.

• Working experience in Redis, Redshift is a plus

Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for supporting and maintaining real-time mission-critical and decision-support databases in a highly available heterogeneous environment.

• Performance tuning, optimization and right sizing of production clusters

• Automate database server setup, backup, replication, logging, monitoring and alerting mechanisms.

• Installation and configuration of database clusters to best practices

• Review design and code from development teams, including database schema, objects, queries, user defined functions, etc and provide relevant feedback on design and implementation

• Manage database security and auditing.

• Participate in an On-Call rotation

• Drive projects end to end
